WATERING
Lawns usually need about 1-1.5 inches of water per week to stay lush and green. Watering depends on a:

Water it in early morning or late evening.
FERTILIZER
What can burn your lawn? The choice of a wrong fertilizer. In the fertilizer bag you can see the three special numbers that tell you the proportion of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Careful, even the nitrogen is most important for the lawn, the high percentage of it will burn your lawn. Do not use numbers higher than 10. An ideal proportion is 3:1:2 (in order nitrogen:phosphorus:potassium)
MOWING
Every Saturday morning or once a month? All of us want to save time! And some people dicide to cut the grass as short as possible. But mowing your lawn too short just may seem like a time saver. The real case is that it can damage your grass. And in addition, allow weeds to set root. It is very important not to cut too much grass at a time.
During summer heat cutting grass to a hight of 3.5-4 inches tall is very important for lawn health.
Mow high and frequently.
Make sure your mower blades are sharp if you want nice and clean cut.
