Dining Room & Kitchen Combination with Custom Double Island — Atlanta, GA

This recent Atlanta area kitchen and dining room combination was challenging but exciting. The result was an opulent kitchen fit for royalty, and we’re sure it will be hosting many wonderful gatherings. The before and after photos tell the whole story, but read on for more details.

We combined the dining room and existing kitchen into one large, narrow room. The challenge with this kitchen and dining combination was covering up return-air grill ductwork that was bumped out into the middle of the new space — which we turned into a long, custom double island.

We added bench seating into the bay window and custom upholstered seats in the bay area for plush, abundant seating during family gatherings.

Combining a kitchen and dining room into one narrow space takes creative problem-solving — from routing around ductwork to designing double islands that still leave room to move. That’s the kind of layout challenge we specialize in.
